We waited so long for spring, it is hard to believe that summer is just around the corner! While my preschooler is not yet ready to move to kindergarten, he'll still enjoying marking the end of the school year with some special activities, just like the bigger kids are doing.

And of course, when May 11 rolls around, I hope to be enjoying a Mother's Day celebration of my own, complete with some homemade treasures, special stories, and maybe even a bit of pampering too.

Does your family have a special way to mark the end of the school year? Talk about it on our message boards, or email me at Catherine@scholastic.com.

Happy Mother's Day!
