Virginia loves to write and hopes to someday be a teacher or a surgeon.
In her spare time she reads books and newspapers and reports on people’s life stories. She also likes to play violin and swim.
Virginia is in sixth grade at Goff Middle School in Castleton, New York. She has two sisters.

Although hit by hardships in 2001, New York is still a bustling city that people from around the world come to visit.
In East Greenbush, New York, good character is taken seriously. Once a month, children at Green Meadow Elementary gather eagerly to await the presentation of Golden Rule awards given to children who show outstanding behavior.
Special school assemblies are held in the gymnasium, in honor of Veterans Day, the anniversary of 9/11, and other days that are important to remember.
Visit New York City and you're in for a treat. Shop at one of the many stores that sell "I love New York" T-shirts, and stop for delicious food from a vendor. You can also visit places like the Statue of Liberty, hit Broadway theaters at night, or visit the Empire State Building.
If you're a real daredevil, you could travel across the state to the beautiful Niagara Falls on the Canadian/New York border. Ride the boat Maid of Mist and get soaking wet—even under layers of raincoats.
New York is a truly fun and awesome state. Ask any one of the people in its many cities and towns. They'll tell you, "I love New York!"
