Madison is most interested in a career as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Madison hopes to learn how elections work through her experience working as a Scholastic Kid Reporter. Because she has the opportunity to be on the front lines of the 2008 Presidential Election, Madison says that she "can't wait to get started [and is] really excited. [She] thinks it will be interesting to meet and interview people who are closely involved in the election."
Madison thinks that students should be interested in this election because "whoever is chosen to be our new president will affect us in many ways." She also feels that this election will be a very important milestone election in our nation's history because many of the candidates are minorities, so it would be a change if one of them won the election. Madison feels that students should follow the election because kids will one day be voters or even presidential candidates themselves, so it is important to get an early start.
