Biography

Sara Varon is a comics artist, printmaker, and illustrator. She is from Chicago, but currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, where she likes to ride her bike, see movies, and pet dogs.

Sara has been creating characters all her life. After college, when she moved to her first apartment in Brooklyn, there was a less than appealing splotch of white paint on the wall. She turned it into a chicken who soon became paired with a very cool cat and Chicken and Cat were born. This fresh debut and very special wordless friendship story is sure to lift spirits, for cool cats and spirited chickens everywhere.

Sara says that paint splotch on her wall was a good omen and we agree.
