Biography

Kim Parker is an internationally renowned textile designer, artist and winner of three prestigious British design awards: The D&D Award (Design & Decoration); the ELLE DECORATION UK Award; and The Observer Magazine Award for best flooring design in the U.K. with her best-selling rug “Mums & Asters” for The Rug Company.
Her high-end collections of designer rugs, wallhangings, bedding, bath, tableware, fabrics, pillows, stationery and Fine Art are widely distributed and recognized in both the United States and Europe under her label Kim Parker Home®.

Published by Scholastic in April 2005, “Counting in The Garden” is the inspiration for the author/designer’s new children’s brand--Kim Parker® Kids , which is represented by Scholastic Media for licensing. Parker’s whimsical new label will feature, apparel, bedding, back to school items, giftware, educational toys and stationery, and was recently launched at Toyfair, February 2006.
