Biography

Before becoming a writer, as well as a piano and recorder teacher, Sally — like most of the members of her family — worked at the nearby paper mill, where she married the man who sat opposite her. These days Sally lives in Hertfordshire and has 2 daughters. When not writing and teaching, she enjoys walking, painting, day-dreaming, reading and gardening. She has two elderly guinea pigs, one of which, Sophie, appears in Cold Tom.
