Extracurricular Activities: Hebrew School, harp, Russian School of Mathematics (RSM)

Hobbies: Reading, making jewelry, skiing, knitting, sailing, playing the harp, traveling

Maya is most interested in becoming a marine biologist.

She likes to read or knit in her spare time.

As a Scholastic Kid Reporter, Maya hopes to "learn about seeing what life is like beyond school." She is excited to have experiences that most other students will not have the opportunity to encounter. She is ready to make a commitment to reporting.

Maya has written several articles, including an article about Beowulf, the graphic novel, summer at the American Idol’s Idol Camp, and an article about women’s history month.
