Adventures in Fantasy

My favorite books are the The Chronicles of Narnia series. These books are fantasy books. There are seven of them in the series.

The Chronicles of Narnia books are about journeys in the fictional land of Narnia. The main characters, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, live in London, England, when they are not off on adventures in Narnia.

I enjoy reading because it’s a different quest every time. I’ve enjoyed reading my whole life. When I was younger, I would make my mom read to me for hours. I hope I will enjoy reading for the rest of my life.

I read every day at my middle school. I have a class called SSR (Silent Sustained Reading) that is 20 minutes long. I also read at home. I am currently in the middle of the fifth book in the Narnia series.

Getting a new book is always exciting, especially if it’s so good I can’t put it down. I take the book with me everywhere: the grocery store, the mall, and wherever else I go.

I recently purchased graphic novels #5 and #6 of the Ultimate Spiderman collection. I finished both in one day. Graphic novels are also some of my favorite type of books.

I believe that reading is extremely important because it helps build your vocabulary and grammar. Knowing how to read is a very important skill. Reading is used every day—without it, society would be lost.

I think it is a good idea for children to be exposed to lots of books. A library is a good place to explore all different kinds of books. I got my first library card when I was only 3 years old. My family used to go to the library once a week. Now that I am a little older and a little busier, we go to the library twice a month. I think that I have read about 200 books.

When I grow up, I wish to have a book published. If I become a writer, I would write fantasy books and graphic novels.
